i don't eat 5 hours before bed and i sleep at least 8 hours. Am I starving the baby?
i eat WELL during the day. here’s a typical day:
BREAKFAST: a 16 oz smoothie (2 fruits, yogart, wheat germ or ground flaxseed, scoop of frozen o.j. cranberry pomegranate juice and ice cubes)
snack: cantalope, chocalate milk
LUNCH: salmon patty, whole wheat noodles & cheese, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower
something naughty (i can’t help it – baby likes it!!) and a glass of milk
SUPPER: homemade chicken and vegetable soup with a grilled cheese sanwhich on wheat (olive oil, no butter, no mayo)
after supper, there are sometimes 13 or more hours that go by without me eating. is this too long? am i hurting the baby going this long without eating?
doc says i am 13 weeks. no sickness, just a little nausea here and there – less in the morning and more during the course of the day.
not a diet plan… just something i’ve always done to help me stay at a healthy weight, because i’ve always had trouble with portion control.
also, why would my calcium intake be too low, with yogart, 2 servings of cheese and 2 large glasses of milk each day? my doc says its fine.
You go girl I love healthy eaters when pregnant, it shows a little bit of will power. I wouldn’t think so you seem to be getting your calories in. I always eat like a orange, a cup of orange juice, or a small bowl of cherrios like an hour before i go to bed just to keep my metabolism going while i sleep as well, and to make sure little one is happy too! Good Luck!
I dont think so. A lot of women can barely eat in their first trimester due to vomitting and morning sickness.
Im sure the baby is fine
You can eat nothing and the baby will still get the food it needs.
Its YOU thats going to be sick. The baby is going to take all your nutrients out of your body, and its up to you to replace them. dont worry.
How far a long are you? That kinda seems like a diet plan. Are you eating an extra 300 good calories a day? If you are then its fine. When I wasn’t eating enough I would feel drained and sick.. I would even get dizzy spells.
No you’re not but why not have a glass of warm milk or something before bed? That’ll help your calcium intake too which seems a tad low if I may say so (no offence).
i am always afraid of starving my baby
gah you just made me feel like a cow i eat like double that everyday. if i was you i would start eating another snack maybe an hour or two before you go to sleep, maybe some fruit, granola bar, or a bowl of cereal.
u shouldnt not eat 4 longer then 12hrs, the baby needs the food, u should eat b4 bed
