Fruit Smoothie Recipes?

I want to make a fruit smoothie, but not one that is made with milk…do i use just ice and fruit? do i need to add any juice or anything?

    You can add any kind of flavoring that you’d like, along with alot of ice and the fruit of your choice. I’d reccomend a 100% juice, because its really tasty and healthy too!

    Apricot~Pineapple~Strawberry Shake
    1/4 cup crushed pineapple, canned or fresh
    1 fresh apricot, diced, seed removed
    6 strawberries, frozen
    1/2 banana, cut in chunks, frozen
    1 1/2 cup water
    1 tbsp. skim milk powder

    In a blender, process fruit with the rest of the ingredients.
    Blend until thoroughly mixed and serve.

    Banana~Strawberry Shake

    1 banana, cut in chunks, frozen
    6 strawberries, frozen
    1 1/4 cup water
    1 tbsp. skim milk powder

    In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed
    and serve

    Tropical Shake

    1/2 mango, peeled, seed removed
    2 tbsp. frozen pina coloda mix (or 1/8 tsp. natural coconut
    extract)
    1/2 banana, cut in chunks, frozen
    4 strawberries, frozen
    6 ice cubes
    1 1/4 cup water

    In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed

    Banana~Berry Shake
    1/2 banana, cut in chunks, frozen
    1/2 pear, cored and sliced
    1/4 cup frozen blueberries
    1 1/4 cup water
    1 tbsp. skim milk powder
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon

    In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed
    and serve

    Banana~Orange~Strawberry Shake
    1/2 banana, cut in chunks, frozen
    6 strawberries, frozen
    1/2 cup orange juice
    1/2 cup water

    In a blender, process all the ingredients until thoroughly

    APPLE SMOOTHIE
    2 c Apple sauce
    1 c Apple cider
    1 c Orange juice
    2 tb Vermont maple syrup
    1/2 ts Nutmeg
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
    Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve. Serves 2.

    BERRY DELICIOUS SMOOTHIE
    1/4 cup orange juice
    1/2 cup plain, low-fat yogurt
    1/6 cup washed, stemmed raspberries
    1/6 cup washed, stemmed blackberries
    1/6 cup washed, stemmed blueberries
    honey to taste
    Wash berries and remove stems. Place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until smooth.

    BLUEBERRY PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE
    2 cups chilled fresh or frozen blueberries, slightly thawed
    1 cup chilled pineapple-orange juice, or pineapple-orange-strawberry juice
    1 8-ounce carton vanilla nonfat yogurt
    1 tablespoon sugar
    In a blender container, combine all ingredients. Cover and blend for 1 to 2 minutes or until almost smooth. Makes

    BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE
    1/2 cup orange juice
    1 banana
    6-7 frozen strawberries
    4-5 slices frozen peaches
    5-6 frozen blueberries
    6-7 ice cubes
    fresh mint (optional)
    dash of nutmeg (optional)
    1 tsp. honey (optional)
    Place all ingredients except ice cubes in blender. Puree until smooth. Add ice, and puree again. Pour into a glass
    and sprinkle nutmeg on top and garnish the some fresh mint.

    Yes, you can do that. That’d be kind of a thin smoothie though. Your’e better off using frozen fruit, a banana (to thicken it up) and juice. Or, you can thicken it with a little soy milk.

    Try blending fruits with very chopped ice,sugar ,& juice.
